Gîte of l'Escale du Desert
 

It was an ancient  ski house which has been transformed into a Gîte for people who wish to stay for one day or several days. The building was renovated in the beginning of 2014 with new equipment,  spirit and organic values.

Rooms and Dormitories:

Ground floor:

La Balme: Very comfortable with 4 beds and private bathroom, this room is independent to the Gîte.

First floor:

La Doline: Very comfortable and spacious with 3 bed and a private bathroom, with disabled access.

L'Arche: Very comfortable and spacious with 3 beds and private bathrooms.

Le Cairn: Comfortable with 4 beds and a shared bathroom.

Les LapiazComfortable with 6 beds and shared bathroom.

The upper bed on the bunk beds are forbidden for children under the age of 6 years old. All beds come with mattress covers, pillow cases, duvet with  duvet covers.  Bring your own sheets or sleeping bag liner. Please contact us if you would like to rent linen.

 

The Living room

A large spacious  room (80m²) with lots of light. It has a south facing aspect with beautiful views of Chartreuse; the room is really the heart of the Gîte. Warm and welcoming  for groups or families.


The kitchen

A spacious, high quality modern  kitchen  equipped  for all your cooking needs, if you are on your own or with a group.

There are 2 fridges with freezers, electric cooker with 2 fans, microwave,  washing machine, 2 coffee maker, plates and cutlery for 24 people.


 

The  terrace

 A place to enjoy the environment and relax.


 

The Gîte has disabled access in one bedroom, the kitchen and the living room, it is  well signed for the disabled.

The gîte's hot water and  heating are generated by solar panels and wood chips for the fire; we were asked to keep the Gîte running in an ecological friendly way.

No animals are allowed in the Gîte. No shoes  can be worn inside the Gîte, there are sleepers available  at the entrance or you can also bring your own.
